What to do if you smell a terrorist (boing boing)

Do you smell a terrorist? Did you know that "terrorism is a crime?" This iWatch PSA stars a cast of pretend-earnest actors encouraging you to rat out your neighbor, "if you see, hear, or smell something suspicious." Don't hesitate -- "let law enforcement determine if it's a threat, (says this fellow, who plays a sex-crazed Mr Pringles when he's not playing a fear-mongering alarmist)" and "let the experts decide." Be sure to report on anyone drawing important buildings, a favorite tactic of terrorists with an artistic bent!

Here's Fox News' pretend news story that explains iWatch.

Do you recognize any of the other actors in this waste of money PSA?

UPDATE: Am I wrong, or is the guy who says he's "Chris Matthews" in the iWatch campaign (left) the same guy who calls himself "Michael Busch" at UCBComedy (right)? It seems suspicious. Should I let law enforcement determine if it's a threat, and let the experts decide?

Balloon family's 'Wife Swap' episode is cut

Such a horrible pity...NOT

It's just one thing after another for Richard and Mayumi Heene. They've caused such an uproar after last week's alleged balloon boy hoax that Lifetime won't air a re-run of their "Wife Swap" episode.

Oh NOES! Not the 9mm

Even morons buy Apple products.

There's a story on ifoAppleStore today about one Mr. Donald Goodrich, who was having trouble with his iPhone. As many customers have done, Mr. Goodrich brought his iPhone to his local Genius Bar in Cincinnati, OH. While talking with an Apple Store employee, he allegedly said, "I'm so mad, I could pop a 9mm at it," meaning the iPhone.

According to police, he then said, "I'll do it right now! Look!" and pulled his shirt aside to show the employee the handgun he was carrying. While that employee escorted him to the Genius Bar (clearly not the right place for Mr. Goodrich), another called police who quickly arrived and arrested him.

We should note that Mr. Goodrich did have a permit to carry a concealed weapon and was cooperative with his arresting officer. We should also note that flashing it to a young person in a crowded mall while visibly upset and threatening to use it was a very dumb idea. Also, as Brandon points out in the comments below, the mall housing the Apple Store is private property and has posted "no weapons" signs.
