My poor Spot cat...
Spot the Wonder Cat, cat who was named Spot before Data named HIS cat Spot; Spot the 18 1/2 year old kitty who was rescued off the side of the road by a fellow employee; Spot who was found in a box with 3 siblings and nursed back to health after the vet said he wouldn't live very long - is not doing very well.
We've had our share of scares with Spot. He's been sick over the years, due to a not great immune system, a stroke last year, inflammatory bowel disease, and various and sundry other issues, but through it all, he's been a loving and wonderful companion. Last night he started wheezing and showing signs of respiratory distress. I can't take the poor guy to the vet, because he freaks out so badly we're all afraid he'll have another stroke. Tried to get a vet to come here, but nobody can come til Monday. I hope he lasts that long.
I gave him some asthma medication and a nice warm box. Maybe he'll pull through this scare too. Maybe he won't. It's not up to me anymore. Please send nice thoughts Spot's way.
